From your first message to the last follow-up visit
Rodent control is all this site does. We arrange treatments for brown rats, house mice and grey squirrels in homes and business premises across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, carried out by one national pest control company we have chosen for the way it works. A technician arrives with bait stations, traps, a torch and proofing materials, works out where they are getting in, and sets up a treatment that suits the property. You show them what you have found and leave the rest to them.
Each job starts with a few lines from you. Tell us what you have seen and heard, where, and when it started, and we reply by email with one fixed price for the whole treatment. Rats under the floor, mice behind the kitchen units or a squirrel in the loft: the price you are sent covers the first visit and the follow-ups, and nothing is added on the day.
The company that does the work is a BPCA member and CPD registered, ISO 9001 and British Safety Council certified, SSIP accredited and SafeContractor approved, and holds a waste carrier licence for England and Wales, so carcasses and used bait leave your property legally. A standard rat or mouse treatment is typically two to three visits over two to three weeks, with proofing quoted on the first visit. If you are not sure what you are dealing with, the signs of rats or mice guide will help you tell them apart.

One fixed price for the whole treatment
The price you are sent from your description covers the first visit and the follow-ups. If the technician finds something different from what you described, they tell you before any extra work is agreed.
How you get a price
-
Tell us what you have found
Describe the droppings, the damage or the noises, say where and when, and add your postcode. The form on this page sends it all to us in one go.
-
Get a fixed price
We reply by email with one price covering the survey, the first visit and the follow-up visits. It is the figure you pay, with nothing added on the day.
-
The first visit
The technician surveys the property, identifies the species, finds the entry points and sets tamper-resistant bait stations or traps where there is activity.
-
The follow-ups
Stations and traps are checked and refreshed, carcasses are searched for and removed, and you get advice on the proofing that would stop them coming back.
Why people use us
A price before anyone comes out
You know the figure from the email, not from a quote written on the doorstep. It covers the visits the treatment needs, so there is no surprise when the technician books the follow-up.
One company you can check
The national company that carries out our treatments is a BPCA member and CPD registered, ISO 9001 certified, assessed by the British Safety Council, SSIP accredited and SafeContractor approved.
The way in gets found
Treating the rodents without finding the hole means they come back. Every visit includes a search for entry points and a plain explanation of the proofing that would close them.
Next day where possible
Send your details early in the day and we aim to have a technician with you the following day. Business premises can be visited outside trading hours.

Plain answers to the questions people ask when they first find droppings or hear something in the loft.
Rodent control questions answered
How do I get a price for rodent control?
Tell us what you have seen and heard, where it is and when it started, and add your postcode. We reply by email with a fixed price for the whole treatment, including the follow-up visits, and that is what you pay.
How many visits does a treatment take?
A standard rat or mouse treatment is typically two to three visits over two to three weeks. Rats are wary of anything new, so bait can take a few days to be touched, and the follow-ups are where most of the work happens.
Is it safe with children and pets in the house?
Rodenticide is only ever placed inside locked tamper-resistant stations, and the technician tells you where every station and trap is. Keep pets and children away from them between visits and tell us about any animals before the first visit.
Do I need to clean up the droppings first?
No. Leave them where they are until the technician has seen them, because where they lie shows where the rodents are running. Afterwards you get advice on cleaning and sanitising the area, and the contractor takes carcasses and used bait away under a waste carrier licence.
What happens to the rats or mice?
The technician searches for carcasses on every follow-up visit and removes any that are found. Grey squirrels that are trapped cannot be released by law, so they are dispatched humanely by the technician.
Will you stop them coming back?
Every treatment ends with a plain explanation of how they got in and what proofing would close it, from mesh around pipes to airbrick covers and brush strips. Proofing is quoted separately on the first visit.
Why not use the council pest control service?
You can. Many councils offer one, usually for a charge and with a waiting time, and some have stopped. Check your council's website for what they treat. We aim for a next-day visit and include the follow-ups in the price.
Who actually does the work?
Treatments are carried out by one national pest control company we have chosen for the way it works. It is a BPCA member and CPD registered, ISO 9001 and British Safety Council certified, SSIP accredited and SafeContractor approved. You deal with us for the price and the booking, and with its technician on the day.
